My students know that when Friday comes around, it’s popcorn day. We have been making popcorn, taking orders, and delivering it as a way to practice many functional life skills. Many weeks we have over 100 orders to fill! It’s so hard to resist once we turn on our fan and send the lucious smell of popcorn down the hall. As payment for all this hard work, each student earns a delicious bag of popcorn and juice. Our profits help support many schoolwide events. We even get to go on a few field trips. Sadly, the popper we are using is on its way out along with the fan! We are not sure how many more batches it will pop. Our many fans will be sadly disappointed if we can’t keep providing this wonderful Friday afternoon snack. We are hoping this is a way to help us continue to pop and learn. Thank you so much.
