The students in the intensive needs classroom have a medium-sized greenhouse outside of their school. They have planted both vegetables and flowers. They understand what a plant needs to grow, and they have watched their vegetables sprout from seeds to buds. The IFL students had the opportunity to visit and tour a large greenhouse at a local high school. The high school horticulture class utilize fans and air circulators in all their greenhouses. Circulating air keeps temperatures uniform throughout the greenhouse. Temperatures can vary as much as 20 degrees from floor to ceiling. Proper venting and circulation can ensure the plants thrive.
