Students need to be invested in their school and their voices need to be shared and heard. Our school library is the perfect place for this to happen, since all students are welcome to visit us throughout the school day. The library provides a safe and inviting environment for students to select reading materials, read, do research, work on projects, and sometimes just take a respite from whatever might be going on in their challenging middle school lives. A subscription to Junior Library Guild's Middle School Subscription Bundle will provide our students with the opportunity to participate in selecting books for our school library, have their voices heard, and see themselves represented in our collection. Students will vote on the three book categories they want most, and the winning categories will be ordered from Junior Library Guild. We'll have a special display area in the library for students to see the books they've chosen and to see the new arrivals each month. Voting for the book selections and seeing the new books displayed each month, for the books they chose, will build anticipation and excitement for reading!
