Our students deserve to not have basic necessities be an everyday worry during this time where they are already struggling enough with their education and home lives getting back on track. We want to create a community closet for our students to help themselves and their families with their basic needs like hygiene, clothing items, etc. I and a few other teachers on our campus are taking in donations for clothing and regular hygiene products already and are trying to make a room to house all of these items. We want a place where students can come in and feel comfortable grabbing what they need for themselves and even their family. Many students come to school everyday without clean clothes or clothes that are ill fitting, without showers, or basic hygiene products. We want to make these kids have one less worry when they're trying to get back on track after being at home during this pandemic.
