These books will help fill out my classroom library and give kids engaging and high interest books to read during the school year. My community has a high population of low income families, and many can't afford to buy books for their kids. These books will give my 8th graders a chance to read bestsellers that may not be available to them at home or at the local library. Giving students access to high interest novels, like the books I've chosen, is the first step in fostering a love of reading. These books will help me create life long readers.
