This year I will be teaching in an Inclusive classroom. This means that I will be having students who need extra support in all areas of development. I have previous experience with students with special needs and have noticed that fidget toys help calm students with ADHD, Autism, Emotional Disturbances, or any kind of anxiety or stress. Without these fidget toys, my students will have great difficulty regulating their emotions in order to focus enough to learn in the classroom. I want my students to be able to enjoy their time in Kindergarten and reduce the amount of stress or discomfort they may have. These fidget toys will be used by my 50 Kindergarten students throughout the day. They will be able to use them when they are feeling overwhelmed or over stimulated. With these fidget toys, I hope to help my students that need a little extra support so that they can learn with the rest of their peers. Kindergarten is a time to explore, learn and have fun and stress should not be an impediment to my students. Please help my students learn in our kindergarten classroom.
