With two classes together in one room, the wobble chairs will not only lend itself to additional seating, but will allow students their choice of flexible seating arrangements. The tight knit learning environment of our joint science lessons are the perfect setting for these wobble chairs. It is hard enough for adults to stay seated for a long period of time, so to expect that of our students is a lot to ask! The wobble seats will help our fidgety students stay more focused. The stability wobble cushion will provide sensory input and effectively help students focus on their tasks. I actually won a wobble chair in a drawing that my principal had and it has been quite a hit in my classroom! Students absolutely love it, and it truly makes a difference for those students that have difficulty sitting still. Since I currently only have one wobble chair, it's a challenge as my students all want to use it at the same time. Having additional wobble seats will give the opportunity for more students in my class to have this option for flexible seating. In our science class, we incorporate the use of technology whenever we can! We are fortunate to have a class set of laptops that students use during science to watch instructional videos, research, and to create their own PowerPoint presentations. It is important to us to have students pick a spot in the room that they think will be most conducive to their learning. Having the laptop desks will be another unique and creative option for them to be comfortable while learning.
