Our school has a large population of students with various disabilities. These disabilities, such as Autism, require behavior supports and various items to aid and support our staff. Weighted blankets can often calm and subdue a student who may be having a self-harm and violent outburst. These weighted blankets are a great way to keep the students safe and calm. They are also a great place for students to have a break from the school day. All items and supports provided not only aid our students, but our staff as well. Optional seating opportunities, such as the circle seats, allow our students the chance to explore my room and give them space to learn independently in a calm and controlled area!
