My students are kindergarten children who are excited about learning and reading. We are part of a small, rural community that puts a high value on the education of their children. The school has worked hard to build up a book room for reading resources, but with all day every day kindergarten, and a batch of REALLY smart kids this year, I'm finding their reading options are limited at the emergent reader level. I want them to learn more about the world around them. A wider selection of quality reading materials would be of great value to this class. As we are in a smaller district, our finances are very limited for special projects. Grants and outside donors are the best way for us to put exciting new resources into the hands of our children.
