My students are challenging. They are primarily from the inner city and have challenging home lives. Due to their challenging life situations it leads them to misbehave. On the flip side, the students are looking for some fun and excitement in their lives and they desperately need a class that is full of fun and helps them feel like the children they are instead of the adults they are expected to be. The students are enthusiastic and highly capable, already picking up music knowledge at a rapid pace. Our school is nice, for a charter school, our school building is an old Catholic School and has no central air, but has air conditioning units in the classrooms. Due to it being somewhat old, it does have its problems with electric and plumbing. It is located in a decent area but is near the not so good areas of town.
