My students come from low to middle income homes where several do not have computers in the home. By exposing them to graphing calculators and CBLs, they can focus on learning the science concept instead of trying to understand how to graph the data. With the growing use of technology in science and math fields, I can incorporate experiments that will allow them to use probes and other data collections devices to give them the experience and exposure to how technology is used in the lab. The calculators will allow them to visually see their data without the use of a computer and allow them to move freely in the lab. They can also connect the calculator to the computer to print out their graph or even store the data for later use or even to share with their peers.
