My students have access to chromebooks in every class throughout the day. They write thought-provoking essays in ELA, create debate presentations in Global, and present their finding in Earth Science. In Art, students use chromebooks to help inspire their art and in PE they record themselves doing different athletic activities to track their progress throughout the year. The one place that is more difficult to integrate technology is in Algebra. These laptops will allow students to problem solve, create diagrams, show their work, and organize their work in algebra. It is incredibly beneficial for students to be able to look back at their work throughout the year, and this technology will help students stay organized and track their progress; skills that are imperative for being successful on state exams and beyond high school. I'm hoping these laptops will help engage students in algebra and push them all to their next levels.
