These books will inspire my students to reach for the stars! This project will help me provide my 2nd graders with biographies on inspiring people of color. My classroom library is a place for students to see themselves represented. These biographies will allow my students to read about the inspiring true stories of Black and Latinx heroes who have changed the world. Students will be able to see themselves reflected and will be able to imagine a future of their choice. This project will also encourage a love of reading for my students! Due to COVID-19, many students are below grade level in reading. This project will pique the interests of my students and make them hungry to read and learn! Thank you for being a part of this project!
