My students come from many different backgrounds and socioeconomic circumstances, each bringing their own experiences, challenges, and perspectives into the classroom. They are curious about the topics we discuss and eager to learn about things that directly affect their lives. Just as importantly, many students are looking for an ear—someone who will truly listen to them without judgment. I want my Health classroom to be a place where they feel comfortable opening up, asking questions, and knowing that their voice matters.
