Each year we administer the FitnessGram assessment in PE to our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. As the national test of the Presidential Youth Fitness Program, FitnessGram assesses physical and aerobic fitness levels twice a year. In the Fall, the students set goals for the spring test and work to achieve them during the school year. We have many students who struggle with physical fitness, both in our general population and special needs population. The two greatest areas of need are for push-ups and pull-ups. This equipment will aid these students greatly to achieve their goals, especially our special needs population, and will help them learn to enjoy physical fitness for life.
