Diamond Hill Elementary in Fort Worth, Texas is under state oversight, but inside our 1st grade classroom, something extraordinary happens daily. Our students arrive carrying the weight of generational poverty, food insecurity, and limited resources. Yet this year, my 22 1st graders achieved a combined 894 NWEA MAP RTI growth points—defying every expectation in one of the city’s most underserved communities. First grade is the most critical year in a child’s educational journey. The foundation built here determines everything that follows. I don’t just teach reading and math—I teach children that their lives have infinite value and that someone believes in them unconditionally. When you donate to our classroom, you invest in proven results and a teacher who gives everything. These children are architects of tomorrow. They are the most deserving students you will ever fund.
