My classes serve students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, and specific learning disabilities. Despite their challenges, both in and out of the classroom, my students are resilient. My class thrives on creative and fun lessons, flexibility, and a lot of positive reinforcement. From the minute they step through the doorway, I encourage them to focus on their potential and growth. I work to help them build their self-confidence. I equip them with the tools for success that they will need to feel purpose and accomplishment. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I hope to inspire my students to continue on a path of academic excellence, and success in life.
