The beginning of the day is so important in kindergarten! Students must feel welcome and ready for the school day. That is why having a morning meeting is so important to me! Students will gather on the rug to sit and read the morning message, which welcomes them for the day. One thing is missing - our easel! Currently, we do not have an easel. I feel this is a pivotal item for a classroom! Not only will we use it during our morning meeting, but we will use it throughout the day! We will use it to create anchor charts as a class and when we gather to do a whole group lesson on the rug! It is an important part of our day, as many of the key materials during a lesson will be displayed using an easel.
