This year I am excited to create a literacy space in my classroom where students can have the option to read away from their desk! This couch will provide students with a safe, comfortable, and fun place to read during reader's workshop. In this literacy space students will have the opportunity to read independently or with a partner. I hope that it will make reading time much more exciting and as a result inspire students to find a safe and great space to read when they are away from school. Your kind donations to our project will improve our classroom setting, give students the opportunity to read in a non conventional classroom, and promote reading at home; thus creating building stronger readers :)
