These biographies will allow our students to take a deeper and more authentic look at history through a variety of lenses. Our students sometimes struggle to connect with core academic topics but they love to be read to. Adding these biographies to our school library will give classroom teachers access to quality read alouds related to their content areas. Biographies of diverse historical figures that reflect the diversity of our classrooms will allow us to engage our students more directly with content in their classes. Students will also be able to check out these biographies from the school library to share their knowledge with their families.
