My mini scientists will use the lab coats and googles for protection during science experiments in our primary science labs. There will be no concerns about staining clothing as we experiment and get messy! My students are in the fourth grade are very excited about conducting science experiments and that want to do it often but they mess up their clothes often. These coats will give them a real live experience on how it is to be in a real science lab. Wearing the lab coats will not only provide physical protection, but it will also help my students see themselves as real scientists, thereby encouraging them to pursue other STEM courses and careers. They will conduct these experiments independently to build cooperative learning.
