My class is made up of highly motivated, enthusiastic and curious second language learners. Their challenge is learning a new language, as well as the first grade curriculum. Our school is located in California, in a low income community and resources are scarce. Our school is the first Leader in Me school in East Los Angeles, and our goal is to insure our students are inspired to be Thinkers, Leaders and Change Makers. My students are developing a love of reading and can use more literature to promote their reading ability because Readers are Leaders!

About my class
