We are an inner city, Title 1 school with 99% African American population. Over 86% of our 285 students receive free or reduced price lunch. Many of my students say art is their favorite class because it allows them to express themselves. I aim to give them a larger vocabulary for expression by introducing them to a wide array of materials and exposing them to art and culture from the world over.
