The literature donations for this project will help students create connections with artists, cultures and ideas in an authentic and meaningful way, as well as increase comprehension at age appropriate reading levels. Color and shape manipulatives will improve my classroom by increasing active and hands on learning for kindergartners. Sensory tools will allow students to help process stress, and direct students attention in a positive manner, reducing the amount of behavioral issues. Positive behavior will be reinforced through a prize wheel in which students will be able to win earned time at various exploratory art stations. By donating to this project, you will ultimately help to increase students self-awareness and academic achievement, in and out of the art room. I am looking forward to seeing my students engaged in reading about art, and making cross-curricular connections.
