Many of my students have difficultly focusing in class. Many live in poverty and experience trauma that is associated with this. When we come into the classroom it can be difficult to regulate and jump into class mode. The chair bands and balance discs help students release some of the tension and extra energy. I want to create an environment where students feel comfortable and their learning is tailored to their needs. The headphones will help me better use the technology we have in the classroom by letting students work on different tasks. This way I can better customize their learning and it will help minimize distractions.
