I teach 10th grade English at Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego, California. The high school years are tough for students, with all those raging hormones and adult-life looming on the horizon. I love working with my students as they figure out who they are, build friendships, develop their voices as writers, and discover great books. I try to create a student-centered classroom, where students feel comfortable and valued. One of the ways I do that is by buying books I think they would enjoy for my classroom library.
