Fourth grade students have a difficult time sitting in traditional classroom chairs. The majority of my students sit on their knees, stand, lean back in chairs or lay over their desk. My long term goal is to turn my classroom into a flexible seating classroom. I would like to remove all my classroom desk and replace them with a different sized tables. I would also like to remove the majority of our classroom chairs and replace them with a variety of flexible seating options. This will ensure each student's unique needs are being met and will help students remain focused while learning. With Donorschoose, you can only spend so much with each project. My goal is to transform my entire room into a flexible seating classroom by the end of this year!
