Since the day it was ready to go, I have been using it regularly. It is most often helpful during our work when students are sitting at our \"rug\" area. The first time we used it, I drew a story mountain and students helped me fill it in to see how an author follows a story arc with a climax at the top. This helped students have a concrete visual of a story's outline. More recently, we used the easel to create a list of what to expect when reading books by Patricia Polacco. The list became an easy place to reference and build upon each time we read a new book by the author.\r\n\r\n The easel has also been helpful when I am working with a small group. I am able to give examples on the whiteboard part of the easel. Students can also come up to the easel and write on it, showing their work to the group.\r\n\r\n This easel has truly made a difference in my classroom.
