My classroom is a place where children can feel safe, and supported to take the risks necessary to learn and grow. I currently teach first grade. I have twenty students in my classroom with diverse backgrounds. My school is full inclusion, so my class is made up of 5 special education students and 15 general education students. In addition I also have 5 english language learners in my classroom. Because of the diverse makeup of my classroom I strive to create learning experiences that enable students to see themselves in the learning. All projects that are funded through this site will provide my students with learning opportunities that they would not otherwise have.
