I am entering my fourth year of teaching at a wonderful public school in Brooklyn, NY. We are located in a very ethnically diverse neighborhood and our large student body of over 1,000 students reflects that diversity. We also have significant numbers of English Language Learners, Students with Disabilites, and students living in poverty. My classroom is full of eager learners and many of them are ELLs. They love to read, write, explore mathematics, and express themselves through the arts. I always do my best to keep learning exciting and engaging and this requires me to provide many of the necessary books, tools, and supplies we use. However, I do need your help to secure some of the things that we need in our classroom. My goal as their teacher is to provide learning resources and to continue encouraging each of my students to grow and meet each of their own individual goals.
