Each day my students are faced with many challenges. Many of them come from high poverty homes. My students are creative, intelligent, and very energetic.They love to create, build, and learn new things. Many of them are raised in single parent homes, or by other family members. 90% of our school qualify for free and reduced lunch. These challenges sometimes cause my students to not have the experiences and opportunities we consider for "typical" children. Each day I welcome my students and we start our day with a positive message. We work together as a family supporting each other and growing together. Although, I can not control their home life, I can control what they are experiencing in my classroom. By having a loving and positive mindset I hope to inspire each of my students to strive for great things. I hope to instill in them that they can be whoever they want to be.
