I teach at an all girls public school that has a STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, art, and math) focus. We are located in South-Central Louisville in a very diverse community. Over 80% of my students receive free lunch and over 75% of them are English Language Learners (ELLs). Our students are bright, energetic and full of amazing ideas. My goal is to empower girls through fun, exciting and silly opportunities that make learning fun. I also coach our school's cross country team. A team of amazing girls who dedicate their time to working hard by running 3-12 miles at every practice. Our student athletes show up every day ready to better themselves despite what else is going on from them outside of school and practice.
