  • Feeding Hungry Students

    Funded May 7, 2024

    Thanks to your generous donations, I am able to put together snack packages for my students to take home with them this summer. Most of my students are used to getting at least two meals a day from school, and they will not have that over the summer break. I know this is a small drop in the bucket of need for my students, but at least it is a sign that someone cares for them. I am also able to feed my students who miss breakfast through the end of the year since I was out of breakfast bars for the students! I really appreciate your support! Thank you again!”

  • Essentials for Middle Schoolers

    Your generosity has been so deeply appreciated by my students and myself. Because of your generous donations, I was able to send students home over spring break with snacks and motivated many of our students to show what they know on their state tests by offering fun incentives.

    Without the generous help from donors like you, I would not be able to provide this much support to my students. It is very appreciated and I hope that you continue to remember what your kindness means to educators across the country as we find ways to motivate students who may otherwise not be intrinsically motivated yet in middle school.

  • Middle School Motivation!

    Thank you so much for helping me motivate my middle school students. After the pandemic, I have found that many students lack motivation and stamina. I am working hard to teach students these skills again. Most middle school students are highly motivated by snacks and prizes, so this teaches them to work hard and not give up.

    Having students work in groups as a competition also helps encourage them to learn to socialize in a professional manner and they also learn to work together with people who might have a different view on things than they do. The collaboration is really where a lot of learning happens. They bond when they win competitions and sometimes new friendships can be forged.”

  • Motivating Young Minds to Move Mountains!

    Thanks to your generous donation, my class has become a fun and engaging class for students to engage in friendly competition! My students are more engaged and have fun learning! This is so important as more than half of our students are three or more grade levels below where they should be. It is so important to get kids to engage in their learning in order to grow the most!

    My students will have everything they need and I have been able to create fun bulletin boards in our hallways and make my classroom a welcoming place where my students want to be!

  • Snacks for Students

    Thanks to your generous donations, I have been able to provide healthy snacks to students when they are hungry! Some students miss breakfast, so having granola bars, belvita biscuits and healthy options for them helps their brains get ready to learn!

    I've also been able to motivate my students with snacks for incentive prizes and they have really enjoyed "Friday Fun Day" where they can play blooket for prizes or when we have group competitions to "Race to the Top" by answering questions about the text we read and collaborating with their group!”

  • Supplies For Students!

    Thank you so much for providing snacks and supplies for my students! They are very motivated by prizes. Also, this year has been really difficult with so many illnesses going around, so having the tissues was a huge help. We often run out of tissues and I have been spending so much of my own money to get more tissues. I am happy to report that with all the positive incentives, 85% of my students showed growth on their reading test this year! I know that because of encouraging students with incentives, this has helped. The healthy snacks have provided breakfast and after school snacks for students who may not have food at home. This has also been really helpful for the well-being of my students when I wanted to provide them with something more healthy than chips or candy. Thank you so much for your generous donation. It has really made all the difference for my students!”
