One of the most memorable moments happened during a writing activity: a student who usually struggles to stay focused asked if he could use one of the new fidgets to help him \"stay calm so I can finish.\" Not only did he stay regulated, but he completed the entire assignment—something he's rarely been able to do. The stickers, glitter pens, and small snacks have also become powerful motivators during our goal-tracking and behavior check-ins. These items may seem small, but they are making a big difference in helping students stay engaged, regulated, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen students saw the material donated by you, they were thrilled. Their faces lit up when they saw the glitter pens, stickers, and especially the sensory tools. Students immediately started asking, \"Do we get to earn these?\" and \"Can I try that fidget?\" For many of them, having access to fresh, fun, and supportive materials felt like someone was cheering them on. The excitement turned into genuine motivation within minutes.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll continue using these resources to support emotional regulation, encourage positive choices, and build independence. As we work through our behavior and academic goals, students will use the incentives as part of their daily point sheets, reflection routines, and self-regulation strategies. The sensory tools will also continue to play a key role during challenging tasks, helping students stay grounded and focused. With your support, my students are better equipped to take meaningful steps toward academic growth, emotional stability, and increased confidence every day.","fullyFundedDate":1755754506744,"projectUrl":"project/motivate-regulate-celebrate/9475382/","projectTitle":"Motivate, Regulate, Celebrate!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Williams","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6076628_orig.jpg?crop=2167,2167,x534,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1651689480550","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6076628"},{"teacherId":6523898,"projectId":9187322,"letterContent":"The materials you helped fund are being used and loved! The resources you provided gave my students the chance to take charge of their own learning, letting their creativity guide what they made, how they worked, and the direction their projects took. It was amazing to watch.\r\n\r\nI'll never forget the very first day we opened everything up. As soon as the kids saw the new tools, art supplies, and interactive materials, the energy in the room shifted. Their eyes went wide, and I heard little comments like, \"Wait... we get to make our own plan?\" and \"Can I try this my way?\" Within minutes, they were huddled in groups, sketching ideas, bouncing possibilities off one another, and excitedly figuring out how they could turn their ideas into reality.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments came when a small group decided to create a multimedia storytelling project that combined visual art, music, and writing. They made every decision themselves—from the format to dividing up the work—and even built their own rubric to measure their progress. Watching them problem-solve, compromise, and cheer each other on reminded me exactly why I love student-driven learning.\r\n\r\nAfter weeks of refining their ideas, the class pulled everything together for our \"Creativity Showcase,\" where families and friends came to see their work. It was such a proud moment for all of us.\r\n\r\nYour support didn't just give us supplies—it gave my students the chance to take ownership of their learning, to take risks, and to see themselves as creators.
