I invite my children to the carpet several times a day for our reading whole group, read aloud, partner work, game time, and to watch videos normally science related. I do what I can to help my students have spots where they can work comfortably on the floor. I feel students need to have chance to move around and not have stay in their seats the whole instructional day. Due to some health concerns that have arisen because of Hurricane Florence, I have had to discard of my current rug, which leaves my students sitting on the tile floor. I hope to replace it and provide them with a special spot to gather around for our story or our lesson.
