The use of a board is almost a daily activity in my classroom. Using the workshop model, students come to the rug with notebooks for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The board allows me to provide instruction as well as provide an easy place for multiple students to show and share their work. The current board has a small whiteboard affixed to the wall with a hole and dent in the center of the board. The students are great about working with what we have. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to break down at any given moment.
