Each day my amazing Kindergartners come to school eager to learn and take on success, but they face various environmental challenges such as homelessness, foster care, and severe poverty that can distract them from reaching academic excellence. My students live in one of the most severely poverty stricken cities in the United States. They face difficult challenges but they do not let it stop them from giving their best effort. They show the greatest amounts of pride after answering a question correctly or when they get the opportunity to learn new information. They are anxious to grow and share their knowledge with all of those that they encounter. My students are inspiring and motivate me everyday to do the best I can as a teacher. We have developed a close community in which we are supportive, excited, and caring towards each other. They truly deserve the best opportunities available. My only hope is that my stude
