Having access to learning about music is an enriching experience in a child's life. It helps promote math skills, critical thinking and promotes joy in the classroom. I want the students in my classroom to have recorders, tambourines, shakers, a xylophone and sheet music to play with and learn music skills. Students will learn how to read basic music and the end of the year goal is to put on a concert. Family, friends, fellow teachers and students will be invited to come watch. I hope that students can have fun whilst accomplishing something challenging like reading music and playing on a recorder.

About my class
