I'm hoping that establishing a library that has titles that the students have an interest in will help create a love for reading in my students. Being a first year teacher, my library is very sad with very few books. The books that I currently have are hand-me-downs from a previous teacher, but they are mostly all informational texts. My students love getting books from my library, so I would love to have a set of books that spark the interest of the students that may not always go check a book out from me. I hope that building my library will begin to create a foundation of students who love to read!
