Our students are a mix of native English and native Spanish speakers. Most have been in the dual language program since Kindergarten, however, newcomers to the country get placed into the program at any grade level. Their levels of proficiency, therefore, range from very high to very low. Our school is a supportive and nurturing environment that understands the needs of a diverse group of learners. Our student population is very diverse, both ethnically and socio-economically. This diversity is a big part of what makes our school so special. The dual language program is a reflection of the district's goals to celebrate and recognize the positive impact that such a diverse population brings to the community. Through this program, students are learning to be global citizens, to celebrate their diversity and become culturally responsible people.
