My students are fabulous. They are preschool through twelfth graders. As their music teacher, I am blessed to be a part of their lives for the years it takes them to learn enough English to transition into a mainstream school. We have a population entirely made up of newcomers who have no English skills. Language and verbal skills are stressed daily. The students enjoy dancing and and playing instruments from their culture. There is a strong need for the students to be welcomed to America.
