Each year our school participates in the California Young Reader Medal program which engages students in reading quality books, evaluating them for their individual merit, and then voting on which one deserves the title of winner. Students relish in the experience of all the great books and are enthusiastic about developing their "book critic" expertise and then getting to voice their vote and see how it faired in comparison to all other young readers across the state. Having a set of these books will allow for greater participation, particularly among our older readers who need their own copies of the novels. Thank you for being a part of providing this engaging reading experience for the students of NHE.
