My passion is place based learning and getting my students outside the traditional 4 walls of our classroom. My students come from homes with limited exposure to culture, careers, community resources and access to community members and organizations that can provide them with real world applications. I am an enthusiastic Teacher Leader with proven leadership and communication skills. I demonstrate competence in cultivating trusting and productive relationships among students, families, colleagues and administration. I have a strong background in technology integration, STEM and community grant writing.
