Students with disabilities have difficulties in a typical learning environment but it causes an even greater hardship on their individual needs in the remote learning world that they has been forced upon us due to Covid. Using my own personal resources, I have purchased an I-Pad to help work with in-person and at-home learners simultaneously; however, I have found that I need more technology tools to better serve my students. Using these technology tools in the inclusion classroom will allow me to communicate with my at-home students in the presence of the in-person learners without anyone being aware. I can also use them to communicate with students in my shared classroom when we zoom to provide direct services without interrupting my colleague and any students that might be working in our classroom. Students often need support in understanding note-taking or how to fine tune their written work or just general encouragement and support to keep moving forward. Both tools are great accessories for the I-pad especially when annotating text with students along with drawing out examples in math class, etc. These tools will allow me to improve my instruction and assist my students to make the best of the situation that we are all learning to navigate.
