With the threat of COVID-19, our students are nervous about returning to the classroom. I have 32 computer workstations in my classroom as I teach Keyboarding and Multimedia. At the beginning of each class period, we have to wipe down the keyboard, mouse, and desk area before the new student begins work. This is using a large number of antibacterial wipes. However, giving the students the peace of mind that we are sanitizing their workstations is worth the number of wipes we are using. Students feeling safe and protected in the classroom is so important to their learning. By providing them with the ability to sanitize their workstation when they enter the room, we are able to provide them with that sense of safety and protection. I want my students to feel safe when they enter my room and know that I am doing everything I possibly can to protect them. I know that antibacterial wipes are not going to magically make everything better or make COVID-19 non-existent, but it will help more than doing nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
