These projects are meant to help students who do not necessarily have the funds and the means gain tools for success. In the classroom, I want students to worry less about the supplies and more about their education. Students have enough to worry about when they leave the building. So the last thing I want them to be concerned about is supplies. By assisting in this project, you are not only ensuring that classroom needs are met, but you are offering these students a chance to see that there are people in the world that care about their quality of education. These students understand that I as their teacher care about them, but for someone who has never met them to care enough to donate, that is just astonishing to them. As Gandhi said; "Be the change you wish to see in this world". Therefore, begin your change by changing the lives of these students and their educational environment.
