Every great research project is guided not merely by a question, but by a process. Learning that process is essential for any student beginning the path of research. While there are many style guides available for writing, only the Bedford Guide is considered the complete package of the various forms of research methods. The cost is not something the school is able to provide, and it is simply not something I could or would require students to purchase and provide on their own. These guides will help my students find the best method for their particular research project, as students completing a thesis in the social sciences will need a different approach from those completing one in the arts, physical sciences, or life sciences. They will serve as a reference, guide, and occasionally, reassurance that they are indeed on the right path. The Bedford Guide is something that will help make sure they are successful.
