Through the use of these portable CD players, students will be able to move around the classroom while working on listening comprehension skills. Currently, we only have two students each day working on this skill during our “What I Need” period, so with the use of the CD players, we will be able to have six students working on this area of need. These players will also allow the students the ability to select from a variety of stories at their level instead of just one. Through the use of the headphones, students will be able to complete online learning curriculum games and apps with our I-Pad and Stream carts. The headphones also help all students to focus on their learning while not distracting the attention of others within the classroom. Since we are a very busy and active bunch of students, the fidget bands will allow the students to have movement while completing seat work. The fidget bands will also enable the students to focus on their assignments and lessons while releasing any urge for action. By allowing the students to make their own choices, release their fidgets, and merely being comfortable are all essential components that motivate the students to do their best.
