My students live in one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in San Diego. They attend a charter school in which the word "love" is overheard on a daily basis, since our school motto states, "we are founded from the foundation of love." I am teaching middle school for the first time in my 10 year career as a teacher. Although it was an adjustment, I am now super excited for this change! My students bring a lot of enthusiasm to learning. They love to learn and I love to teach so together we are a great combination.
