The band program at my school is more than just a collection of student musicians, it's a family. Made up of 4th and 5th graders with diverse family backgrounds, our students form a beginner concert band, an advanced concert band, a marching band, a jazz band, and numerous chamber ensembles. By learning to play an instrument, our band students not only learn how to develop discipline and responsibility, they experience how a single individual's hard work and dedication can contribute to an ensemble, the school, and the community.

About my class
